“Impactful Infrastructure or Simply LIP Service?” is a research project and impact report exploring the impact of voluntary sector infrastructure support in Suffolk; undertaken by Steve Allman on behalf of Suffolk Local Infrastructure Partners (LIPs).
Based upon findings from research with nearly 60 voluntary organisations across Suffolk, the report explores the impact of the partnership against BASIS Big Lottery Fund targets over the last 5 years and makes recommendations for Tranforming Local Infrastructure priorities.
Suffolk LIP is a partnership of 6 local voluntary sector infrastructure organisations, providing support and advice to voluntary and community groups in Suffolk. Services offered include free funding advice from qualified professionals, free networking events, free training workshops, free one to one support, setting up a new group, governance, etc.
Shortly after the report was completed in 2012, the 6 organisations merged to form Community Action Suffolk.
