We’re thrilled to hear from another charity client, Thanet Volunteer Bureau, that their recent Big Lottery Fund bid has been successful. We were commissioned by the charity last year to evaluate their previous Big Lottery Fund project, Thanet Community Support Partnership, with a view to enabling the charity to demonstrate the project’s impact ahead of applying for continuation funds.

TCSP is a unique project which brings together all the charities and services for older people in Thanet, Kent, to provide a “one-stop shop” for local older people in need. As part of the evaluation, we met a number of older people at the Your Time social group in Ramsgate and also engaged with a number of partner organisations who spoke positively about the charity’s impact.

We understand that the new Big Lottery Fund grant will build on some of the findings from the evaluation, raise the profile of older people across Thanet and continue to provide practical advice and support to enable older people to overcome isolation and play an active role in their community.

Well done Kerry and the team for all your hard work, this is great new for older people in Thanet!
