West London Action for Children supports families, teenagers and children facing challenges such as domestic violence, bereavement, divorce and separation, bullying and exclusion, mental health concerns, parenting difficulties, resettlement trauma and substance misuse.
The charity has commissioned Steve Allman on two occasions; firstly via Social Enterprise UK to deliver an Introduction to Social Enterprise workshop, then to follow up with a one-day workshop supporting the charity to develop it’s potential ideas for sustainable social enterprise.
Heather Boxer, chief executive of West London Action for Children, shares her experience:
“Steve Allman delivered an excellent social enterprise workshop for our board of trustees. He managed to cover so much in two hours and we’re very grateful to him for giving the subject such clarity whilst encouraging interest and commitment.
We all enjoyed the discussion very much indeed and found it incredibly useful; just what the trustees wanted. By illustrating his talk so well with examples and using his own experiences to highlight the pros and cons of social enterprise, Steve was able to engage the whole audience and give them space to consider so many options.”
